Shibburn Reacts to Shiba Inu Warning, Says “There Are No Official SHIB Projects, Team & Partners”

Shibburn, a community-driven SHIB burn tracker, reacted to a recent warning from DaVinci, Shiba Inu’s Discord admin.

For context, DaVinci warned SHIB community members to be wary of Shiba Inu-related partnerships not announced on official channels.

He noted that influencers and media outlets sharing these announcements are neither affiliated nor connected with the official Shiba Inu team.

Furthermore, DaVinci emphasized that if an announcement is not from any official channels, it is not an official “Shiba ecosystem partnership.”

Nonetheless, it is essential to note that Da Vinci’s warning was not an attempt to discredit these projects, but a way to let the community know that the “team” is not affiliated with them. Da Vinci stressed that the warning does not make the project’s scam automatically, but that the community should keep a vigilant eye.

This warning came on the back of growing scams in the crypto scene, with some projects using the Shiba Inu brand to target unsuspecting community members.

However, Da Vinci’s warning coincided with the recent announcement from Shibburn, about the launch of Shib Association, an organization focused on driving the cryptocurrency’s growth. Shibburn also announced that the organization has started developing a dedicated blockchain for SHIB.

Shibburn Reacts to DaVinci’s Warnings

In the wake of DaVinci’s alert, Shibburn took to the X platform to react, describing the warning as unfortunate.

“It’s unfortunate how some find it necessary to alert others about projects not being ‘official SHIB’ projects since it hasn’t gone through ‘official channels’ when the projects they claim to be ‘official’ are not official themselves,” Shibburn said.

The Shibburn X handle noted that there are no “official SHIB projects, teams, nor partners,” adding that it is concerning some people are still using such terms.

They pointed out that critics have said both Shibburn and Shib Association are not affiliated with the official team. However, Shibburn noted that “@Shibtoken” and “Shiba Inu Ecosystem” are not official sources and accounts for the canine-themed cryptocurrency.

Shibburn Issues Warning

In a follow-up tweet, Shibburn revealed that some people are spreading lies to turn the community against them. Consequently, they urged the community not to be misled by people with bad intentions.

Shiba Inu Community Reacts

Expectedly, the development stirred reactions among Shiba Inu enthusiasts, with some community members declaring their support for Shibburn.

A SHIB enthusiast named “JackB” questioned the appointment process of the Shiba Inu’s official team members, saying

“Exactly. The more, the merrier. Who appointed the official that declares them official? If we actually have one, then we ain’t decentralized. You can’t have it both ways.”
